Kevin Love Basketball Star

Kevin Love is one of the most talented players in the Country. This freshman sensation has the skills to lead UCLA to this year's NCAA Championship!

Growing Up

Kevin Love was born with excellent basketball genes. His father Stan Love was a college star at the University of Oregon and played four years in the NBA. Kevin had always had advanced skills for his age and was always taller than his peers. Kevin first dunked the ball as a seventh grader. He attended Lake Oswego High School where he averaged 26.8 points and 14.5 rebounds in his four year career. He also scored a total of 2628 points - an Oregon state record. His accomplishments didn't go unnoticed as he was named the 2007 National Player of the Year by nearly every newspaper and magazine. He also played in the prestigious McDonalds All-American Game.
UCLA

Kevin Love came to UCLA as one of the most highly anticipated recruits in school history. That is saying a lot considering the fact that UCLA is one of the storied college basketball programs ever. In his first year with the Bruins, Kevin averaged an impressive 17.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. He also logged in an incredible 23 double-doubles and led the Bruins to a 35-3 record. In his first season, Kevin led UCLA to the Final Four.
